The Side Project was about a Specific area called Stavrou, in Strovolos, Nicosia.  As you can see in the first postcard (the small map painting) after a walk on this very specified part of the Stavrou I realized that nothing about this place and this neighbourhood was exciting me nor making me feel happy. The negative vibe was surrounded in the streets and people were staring at us (the group young people and our tutor) like we were aliens.

Anyhow the creation of the area wasn't so different from most of Cyprus. Pale fields, familiar houses and the usual streets but at the same time palm trees by the road and so on with nice coffee shops at the main square. So I thought to my self we are so good at portraying the nice weather, pretty nature and the good food of this country how come we don't portray the hidden parts. Making the ugly attractive if I may say.
